Ouch, I totally feel you on that one though. Good to see it didn't ruin the exp for you too much XP

I can't stand people who don't understand how sky exp works. People who go to the main camp and sit on one side and wonder why you are running over to their side, then tell you they were there first (when you were just on the other side). On the same note, if you get to a camp, and it's totally booked, you should find a different camp. It's not the other PTs fault if your PT leader is a n00ber and can't /tell other PT leaders to ask what camp they are at.

When you switch from merits to exp and whatnot, can you do that from your menu, or do you have to talk to maat when you want to do that?

Before I quit this character, the only way you could change from xp to merits was in your mog house. Unless they have changed it, then its still the same.

But no way am I going to try and drive out a PT who is already there. Thats just not my style. If the camp is taken I go somewhere else.

Like Jadu said you can alwasy ask leaders where they are at and how long they intend to stay.

I'd rather Disband PT and go solo Flamingoes for 2-3k an hour than be an overcamping fvckhead. But if I am already there there is no way in hell you are driving me out. I stayed in that PT for an extra hour on Sat night just because that sh*t pisses me off like you would not believe.

No its not that they are used to crappy ass partys Misterbob, its that people do not want to go someplace else than sky. Sky is the only place at the moment that can readily support a number of partys, far more than Lufase, KRT, and the Range combined, and when people hardly go to 2 of those 3 places I listed, then yeah Skys going to be packed. Im sure they just as much as you want 6-7+k a hour but given the choice between you getting 6-7k and another party getting nothing, they are much more likely to camp your camp and hopefully push you out.

If people would go to Range or Lufase more, and more people would start getting Sea, we wouldnt even be having this disscussion.

I think I parsed the party he is talking about, where he shouted obscinities and was asked by his party to calm down.

Venise and I had a nice conversation, where she explained that shogen was drunk to ignore him. I also had a nice convo with another member of that party, who also asked me to a party the next day.

What makes this the absolute best, is that only shogen saw his actions that way, everyone else there, saw him being an a$$.

We get to sky, we check main gate, aura statues, aura wepons, bibiki, lufaise, ulli, moon, krt, all were taken. We head to water camp, see one party there, last I remember shogen was 72, so I assumed that was a lower level chain 5 party. My mistake for not checking, for that I apologize. We get to our 3rd kill, and up comes shogen, starting in with us using cursewords and calling names, to which my whole party replied there was no need for that.

We let them know had he explained it, or even given us a chance to know what was going on,, we would have left. The problem was his attitude and rudeness, which is becoming all to rampant in FFXI as of late. Why not try being polite?


In the end, no matter what I say, the fenrir board will side with shogen, but the other 11 people there know how things went. If I still have the parse, I will post it when I get home, but I doubt it... Didn't think it was going to be another allkhazam post about nothing, but alas, shogen need rateups.

All I can say, is that everyone else envolved is not upset. What I was told the next day is shogen's party disbanded 15 minutes after we left due to, "Him being too drunk to tank anymore". So, after my party disbanded due to no places to XP, he didn't even use the camp anyway, but good for him he was able to stand his ground and win, after all, we need more people like that in FFXI, who needs to be rational and share anyway?

I see viskral at main gate, ask him if they are XPing, and levels, about weather or not we can fit two parties there. His reply? "We may be leaving soon".

Your reply to simply seeing us killing, while you imply that you were leaving all along, to @#%^ing flame us and start an arguement. Why not just try this?


"We are leaving in a few, can you guys hold out for a little?"

Instead of


"WTF, you guys are camping on top of us, GTFO we were here first"


"You guys are a bunch of @#%^ing noobs, can't you see we are here camping?"

Funny, not one of my courel subs wore, so wasn't more than thirty minutes.

All that aside, I explained why we stayed seeing you there. I thought you were a lower level party doing normal chain 5 killing on weapons. Honestly, with that setup, you can support 2 parties there, I had no idea it was a level 75 speedkill, till you changed sides. At which point you assumed we were doing it to be jerks, and started being a dickhead. Had you not assumed, none of this would have transpired.

Try being civil and not acting like a 2 year old who might have lost his teddy bear, I have yet to ever not be reasonable with you especially. Why not attempt to talk first and insult 2nd?

Shogen was a PT leader; how did you not know he was 75? I guess you don't check levels of players when you check to see how many PTs are in the area.

I would have done the same thing as Shogen (even if I was planning to leave) no matter who it was in the other PT. You can color coat it all you want, but if you just show up at someone else's camp and start killing the mobs they are Exping on (gimping their experience points) without ever sending a /tell to any of the PT leaders, then the fault is on your party.

It's not the party who is already at a camp's job to send /tells about current status. No matter what shogen said in /say, to knowingly camp on top of someone else is bullsh*t.

No offense but this happens 24/7 in this game. If you're an uber 75 merit pt ....it shouldn't have come as a suprise that another group camps on top of you. Do what everyone else did and your group did...outpull them and force them out...resorting to name-calling is for 12 yo's.
