The Past (FFXI)

The time is 20 years ago, in the midst of the Crystal War, the most bloody conflict in the recent History of Vana'diel.

Through the appearance of strange, cavernous maws, adventurers are now able to travel back in time to this tumultuous chapter of Vana'diel's past. The lands and cities as we know them stand very much the same, but the signs of war -- battlements, craters, soldiers and broken buildings -- are everywhere.
